There is an access track that runs the length of the river that is just suitable for cars; however entering the estate during the Fishing/Hunting season could be problematic. The estate manager lives in a cottage up a track just left of the Einig Bridge and asking permission to enter the estate first could be a good idea as you wouldn’t want to be mistaken for a deer.

Description:

Drive up to the Corriemulzie Lodge here you can put on for a 1km warm up on grade 1/2 or you can put on where the Seilich Burn meets the Corriemulzie if you want to get straight into the action.

From the burn the river enters a gorge this is a great section of tight twisting shoots with some small drops of grade 3/4 which some may require inspection.

After 2km Daug Bridge comes into view and you have the final section a Classy grade 4 which is a 3m ramp lead in just beyond the bridge followed by a twisting chicane and is a great end to the run.

Another 200m and you are at the Confluence of the River Einig where you can exit or carry on down the Einig for some 6km of grade 4/5.

Rob Harris on the CorriemulzieOther notes:

I have been into this estate a couple of times now and the gates always seem to be open.

The fishing/Hunting season ends on the 31st Oct and starts around April and entering outside of this period could be a problem check with the Estate manager first as he was very accommodating at the time and didn’t mind us entering.

This is Remote and as far out there as you can get so please respect the estate with number of vehicles and parking.
